Unfortunately not much is known about the official release of these two cigars; however, I will state what I do know. I hope this sheds light on these two awesome blends from Viaje Cigar Co.
The concept of the Viaje Birthday Blend was first introduced in 2016, and it was the company’s founder, Andre Farkas, much like Old Forrester’s Birthday Bourbon. The original release was a San Andres from Mexico, but I do not know the Viaje Birthday Blend 2023 blend. It is a 6×52 and is released in 46-count boxes. Why 46? One cigar in each box is clad in gold and is considered the ‘lucky stick.’ That particular cigar is in a San Andres Wrapper. The ever-popular nature of Viaje Birthday Blend keeps the line coming back each year and is a definite MUST in terms of Viaje enthusiasts and collectors.
The Viaje PHAT Scotch Bonnet or Spicey Peppers has gained recognition for being just that, spicey! The line is presented in unique Perfecto sizes 5.36×55. Playing on the theme, Scotch Bonnet Peppers measure around 80,000-400,000 on the scovel level. Is that how spicey these cigars are? No, however, when you enjoy one of these, you will detect the peppery, spicey notes from Viaje Scotch Bonnet Perfecto. These are released in 25-count boxes, all in the Perfecto vitola. As the company released: “The Hatchet family is done harvesting and are happy to report an incredible crop this year. A quick word of caution, they pack a punch.”
Both Viaje Cigars are available now to order; however, as usual, they are in limited supply. Don’t miss this year’s Viaje Birthday Blend 2023 or Voaje Scotch Bonnet Spicey Pepper!
