Talk about exciting releases! Each month, Viaje cigars release a new blend, or two, as a part of their yearly portfolio. Sometimes the info is forthcoming; sometimes, it is unknown. or the third option: you get just enough with a few details missing. This month’s drop is intriguing and most definitely aesthetically pleasing. Introducing Viaje The Falchion Honey & Hand Grenades Maduro and Corojo. Two different blends expressed in this unique 6×54 vitola they call the Falchion. Viaje Cigar Co. Released this statement along with their cigar duo for March:
“CALLING ALL COLLECTORS – The Falchion has arrived! After a year absence, Collector’s Edition is back. This year the one-off shape is part of Honey and Hand Grenades and will feature both a Corojo and Maduro wrapper. The size gets its inspiration from a one-handed, single-edged sword of European origin used around the 13th century. After production was completed, each box received a FULL YEAR of extra aging prior to release. We are confident The Falchion will please the palates of the novice as well as the seasoned pro.”
Placed in 25 count boxes, the Viaje Falchion Honey & Hand Grenades just hit the shelves at OGT. The unfortunate thing about Viaje, however, is the scarcity. The Micro Batch format limited the availability of their releases. If you happen to have a Viaje sighting, I encourage you to take a look! With one year of age on these 6×54 beauties, as Viaje cays, I am sure it will please the palate!
