It’s back! After a long-awaited return, one of Steve Saka’s choice blends returns in an all new size! Basically, how the industry works is that no matter how loved or precious blends are, tobacco shortages and complications are always a factor. And, in the words of Hemingway, “Sometimes you have to kill your darlings.” Unfortunately, that is what became of Steve Sakas blend, Todos Las Dias. Due to the popularity of his other brands, he had to cut down on something. The tobacco used in his cigars are shared among the various blends of his profile. The popularity of Mi Querida, forced him to make some tough decisions, like cutting Todos Lad Dias. However, hie fondness for the blend never wained, and he wanted to bring it back, even if it was just for a short time. That time is now.
According to Steve Saka, he said, “When originally blending the Todos Las Dias liga there were two finished core blends comprised of the same tobaccos, but with different proportions. Ultimately, I selected the one I felt worked best in the original formats to be released and relegated the other to my blending diary. When it came time to add the Thick Lonsdale to the line, I inadvertently gave them the recipe for the stronger iteration. In their defense, the factory asked me to verify the blend twice, but I managed to still muck it up and authorized them to produce 200 boxes as instructed. I didn’t actually realize my mistake until I was smoking the post production cigars for quality control purposes. Right away I knew something was askew.”
You heard it from him. The Dunbarton Todos Lad Dias Thick Lonsdale ‘Mas Fuerte’ 6×46, wow, that is a mouthful, is an amped up version of the original. This blend packs a punch by using a Cuban Seed Nicaraguan Wrapper over Binder and Fillers from Nicaragua. Now as far as limited production go, this one is as limited as it can get. I secured as many boxes as possible for OGT, but there aren’t many. If you have a weather eye out for the return of the Dunbarton blend, don’t sleep on it! Help us welcome Dubarton Tobacco and Trust Todos Las Dias back to the fold!
