Aganorsa Leaf Guardian of the Farm Cerberus Toro

Guardian of the Farm is a reference to the security system watching over the tobacco farm. Who is the Guardian? It refers to the American Bulldog. Each size of Aganorsa Leaf’s Gaudrian of the farm is named after one of the dogs they have in their fields. The original blend for Guardian of the Farm was a collaboration between Aganorsa Leaf and Warped cigars. After the release, Guardian of the Farm Night Watch followed, a bold, dark rendition of the blend. Earlier last year, the trilogy was completed with the third and final blend, the Guardian of the Farm Ceberus. What makes this cigar stand out against the rest? It was one of the first cigars to utilize a new seed versatile created by Aganorsa Leaf, the Corojo 2012.

Named after the mythical three headed hound that stood watch at the gates of Hades, Aganorsa Leaf Guardian of the Farm Cerberus is offered in three different sizes; Lonsdale 6×44, Gran Robusto 5×54, and Toro 6.25×52. According to Terence Rielly, the special Corojo 2012 cover leaf contributes light spice and a rich, smooth body. He says, “No one is really using 2012 just yet except for us. In the filler, we have included a single leaf of rare medio tiempo to amplify depth and complexity. A truly special cigar.”

Along with the signature spice and boldness one has come to expect from Aganorsa Leaf, Cerberus also offers a smooth, delicate palate. Flavors notes of sweetness, spice, and earth are up front, but it is followed by a floral, tea note mixed with cooking spices and wood. Aganorsa Leaf Cerberus is one of the more complex blends from the company and truly a unique experience from their portfolio. I would suggest a black coffee to pair with or a scotch on the sweeter side, perhaps a Balvenie or Abalour?
