Cigar Clowns Festivus, the OGT Cigar Society December box

“It’s a Christmas Miracle!”

And believe me, it is. At this time last year, through the OGT Cigar Society, I released the third cigar from the Cigar Clowns we had received, the Festivus. It was a beautiful, box-pressed toro, sporting a Maduro wrapper that imparted notes of cocoa, earth, cream, sweetness, and hints of cinnamon spice. If you had been afforded the opportunity to smoke it, you would understand why there was so much hype behind this cigar. If you missed out, I am sorry; there weren’t many to go around in the first place. However, this Christmas season, I have good news for you! The Festivus has returned! But this time Cigar Clowns Festivus is bigger and perhaps better!

Festivus 2022 is a 6×55 box pressed Maduro, similar in the blend but tweaked slightly for the size. This release, much like last time, is also very limited. However, due to the efforts of the Cigar Clowns group, Festivus is in our December box for the Society! One of the most limited allocations from the Clowns for 2022 is being sent to all our members! As usual, each member of the Society will be getting five cigars. The difference with our special December drop is that you will receive four of the Christmas Festivus 2022 and one very, VERY special cigar. It is sometimes difficult for me to articulate how special certain cigars are. This one is definitely the case. Let’s give it a try:

What if I told you the Clowns had been working hard on a 2023 release? What if I told you it was a well-aged Sumatra, aged enough to yellow the cellophane? What if I said is was a 6×52 dark Sumatra? What if I said I lit that cigar up and fell instantly in love? (See the picture above for visual). What if I said the absolute delight of full flavor mixed with a full-bodied, medium-strength overwhelmed me with Christmas joy? I would say that it is all true.

However, here is the hitch. As often happens in the cigar industry, production was met with difficulties on this mysterious banger of a Sumatra. And unfortunately, we won’t see this come to fruition in the coming year. But that didn’t stop the OGT Cigar Society. Instead of this amazing stick disappearing in the dark, never to be experienced, every member will be receiving one! That’s right; you will all be afforded the opportunity to take part in the Clown’s taste testing this Christmas season. And believe me, if I had more of these sticks, I would try to send a five-pack to everyone, but alas, that is how the wind blows sometimes.
