Anyone familiar with Steve Saka’s blending style is familiar with his Mi Querida lines. Whether you tried the original blue label or the red Triqui Traca, you know that he uses only the best Connecticut Broadleaf wrappers. They are both fantastic expressions of the tobacco, offering an outstanding balance of flavor and strength. Perhaps the strongest of Saka’s portfolio, the Querida duo is eligant and powerful simultaneously, as you experience the strength and pepper up front and then a smooth mellowing to dark cocoa and cream. And at long last, the day has come to put a third broadleaf into the set, finishing the trilogy in a trifecta of flavor! Finally, Dunbarton Tobacco and Trust Mi Querida SakaKhan, or Mi Querida Black has arrived!
Announced at the PCA 2022 trade show, the Mi Querida SakaKhan is a highly limited cigar Saka has worked on for some time. Saka said many years ago, he smoked a particular broadleaf cigar that had a sweeter leaf from Honduras in the filler, offering a unique blend. He loved the cigar so much he would purchase them by the box. Unfortunately, the company that produced the stick went out of business, in turn, the cigar fell into oblivion. After careful research and development, Saka recreated the tobacco and a close tribute to the original cigar he loved so much. With much excitement, Steve released the following statement, “This is a 7.25 x 54 Limited Production of the most exclusive Mi Querida to date. “Black” is intended to be a 2023 release, but I had enough of a pilot crop of a unique Honduran leaf needed for this liga ready to roll ~3,500 10ct boxes of these big, bold beauties. These will be delivered in August.”
Finally, they have arrived at OGT. The Mi Querida is another milestone in Saka’s portfolio, offering a rich sweetness, a deep boldness, and an overall satisfying smoke. Mi Querida SakaKhan is here!
